Benedict XVI on Islam and Judaism

Heresies of Benedict XVI

Benedict XVI’s amazingly heretical statements on Islam, Judaism and other issues

Benedict XVI, Address to seven hundred representatives of French culture, members of the EU and UNESCO, and several representatives of the Muslim community in France, September 12, 2008: “I thank the delegates of the French Islamic community for having accepted the invitation to participate in this meeting: I convey to them my best wishes for the holy season of Ramadan already underway.” [cxvii]

Benedict XVI calls the Islamic season of Ramadan “the holy season of Ramadan”!

Benedict XVI, Address during meeting in France with representatives of the Jewish Community, September 12, 2008:  “Dear friends, it is with great pleasure that I meet with you this evening. Our meeting auspiciously coincides with the vigil of the weekly celebration of the Shabbat, the day which from time immemorial has occupied a significant position in the religious and cultural life of the people of Israel.  Every pious Jew sanctifies the Shabbat with the reading of the Scriptures and the reciting of the Psalms…

Does not the Talmud Yoma (85b) say: the Sabbath is offered to you, but you are not offered to the Sabbath?... we share a relationship that should be strengthened and lived.  And we know that these fraternal bonds constitute a continual invitation to know and to respect one another better.  By her very nature the Catholic Church feels obliged to respect the Covenant made by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Indeed, the Church herself is situated within the eternal Covenant of the Almighty, whose plans are immutable, and she respects the children of the Promise, the children of the Covenant, as her beloved brothers and sisters in the faith… I cannot neglect, on an occasion such as this, to recall the eminent role played by the Jews of France in the building up of the whole nation and of their prestigious contribution to her spiritual patrimony.  They have given – and continue to give – great figures to the spheres of politics, culture and the arts.  To each one of them I extend affectionate and respectful wishes and with fervor I invoke upon all of your families and upon all your communities a special Blessing of the Lord of time and history.  Shabbat shalom!” [cxviii]

Benedict XVI says that Jews are our brothers and sisters in the faith and that they add to the spiritual patrimony of the nation!  He also clearly teaches that the Jews are part of God’s covenant (heresy).

Benedict XVI, Answer to question during flight to Australia, July 12, 2008:

Question: “Do you think that, due to secularism, France is losing its Christian identity?

Answer from Benedict XVI: It seems to me obvious today that secularism in itself is not in opposition to the faith.  I would even say that it is a fruit of the faith…”[cxix]

Benedict XVI, Reflection, August 10, 2008:  Together with our Orthodox brethren, let us pray intensely for these intentions which we confidently entrust to the intercession of Mary Most Holy….” [cxx]

Benedict XVI, Address, July 5, 2008:  “… the splendid new organ and of the choir conducted by Mr. Kohlaufl and in the beauty of that luminous church, we felt the joy that comes from God –not only the “spark of the gods” of which Schiller speaks but truly the splendor of the flame of the Holy Spirit…” [cxxi]

Benedict XVI, Answer to question during flight to Australia, July 12, 2008:

Question: “There is a risk of the fragmentation of the Anglican Communion and the possibility that some may ask to be received into the Catholic Church.  What are your hopes for the Lambeth Conference and for the Archbishop of Canterbury?

Answer from Benedict XVI: “My essential contribution can only be prayer and with my prayers I shall be very close to the Anglican Bishops meeting at the Lambeth Conference.  We cannot and must not intervene immediately in their discussions, we respect their responsibilities and what we desire is that new divisions or ruptures may be avoided and a responsible solution found in keeping with our time and also with fidelity to the Gospel.  These two things must go hand and hand… This is my hope for the Archbishop of Canterbury: that the Anglican Communion in communion with the Gospel of Christ and of the Word of the Lord may find responses to the current challenges.” [cxxii]

Benedict XVI, Reflection, August 3, 2008: “… seek to make the earth more human, that is, closer to God.” [cxxiii]

Benedict XVI promotes that an openly schismatic leader is beloved and “His Holiness”

Benedict XVI’s June 29, 2008 Comment:  “Moreover, on today’s Solemnity it is a cause of special joy to the Bishop of Rome to welcome the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople in the beloved person of His Holiness Bartholomew I…” [cxxiv]

He calls the leader of the schismatic “Orthodox” Church a “beloved person.”  Benedict XVI constantly refers to the leaders of openly schismatic and heretical sects as “your Holiness.”  In this case, he refers to the leader of the schismatic “Orthodox” Church as “His Holiness.”  To reject Catholic teachings is to be “His Holiness,” according to the apostate Benedict XVI.

Benedict XVI promotes that each person must be able to choose whatever religion he likes

Benedict XVI, April 29, 2008, Address to the new ambassador of Chad:  “The quality of relationships between the religious communities that live in Chad, especially among Christians and Muslims, is an important element along the way of peace and reconciliation.  Each must be able to express his own faith without fear and follow the voice of his conscience in the choice of his own religion.” [cxxv]

To promote that any person must be able to choose whatever false religion he likes, and therefore damn himself to Hell, is to promote apostasy.

Benedict XVI speaks of his esteem for ministry in the schismatic “Orthodox” Church, his best wishes for a schismatic’s ministry, and he declares a schismatic’s service to be “service to the Church.”

On May 29, 2008, Cardinal Walter Kasper presented a letter to Alexis II “Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia”.  The letter was written by Benedict XVI on May 19, 2008:

To His Holiness Alexis II Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia- The visit to Russia of His Eminence Cardinal Walter Kasper offers me a welcome opportunity to extend my cordial greetings,to express my esteem for your ministry in the Russian Orthodox Church and to restate my appreciation for your commitment to fostering relations between Catholics and Orthodox… I extend in this Easter season my warmest best wishes for your ministryentrusting to the Lord my prayer that the great mystery of our salvation, the Death and Resurrection of our Lord, may ever more deeply guide your life and your service to the Church.”!supportFootnotes]>[cxxvi]

First, he calls the openly schismatic “Orthodox” patriarch “His Holiness Alexis II Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.”  This means that, according to Benedict XVI, an open schismatic is the patriarch leader of the one true Church for all of Moscow and Russia.  He then speaks of “my esteem for your ministry in the Russian Orthodox Church.”  Benedict XVI esteems the ministry of a schismatic and esteems that he is spreading schism.  Then Benedict XVI extends his “warmest best wishes for your ministry, entrusting to the Lord my prayer that the great mystery of our salvation, the Death and Resurrection of our Lord, may ever more deeply guide your life and your service to the Church.”  He thereby extends warmest best wishes for schism and states that the schismatics’ service of being the head of a schismatic non-Catholic Church is “service to the Church.”  Benedict XVI’s promotion of a schismatic and his promotion of schism almost could not be expressed more clearly in this letter.

Benedict XVI states that the immense task of rebuilding the Church has been laid on the shoulders of an open schismatic!

Benedict XVI, Catechesis, May 7, 2008, welcoming Eastern Schismatic Karekin II: “Dear Brothers and Sisters, As you see we have with us this morning His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and a distinguished delegation… my beloved Predecessor John Paul II gave him a famous relic of St. Gregory the Illuminator… I am sure that this visit of the venerable Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians will help to intensify the relations of fraternal friendship that bind our Churches. [cxxvii]

Benedict XVIMay 9, 2008, Speech to Karekin II of Armenia: “The path towards the restoration of full and visible communion among all Christians may seem long and arduous.  Much remains to be done to heal the deep and painful divisions that disfigure Christ’s Body… The recent history of the Armenian Apostolic Church has been written in the contrasting colors of persecution and martyrdom, darkness and hope, humiliation and spiritual rebirth.  Your Holiness and the members of your delegation have personally lived through these contrasting experiencesin your families and in your own lives.  The restoration of freedom to the Church in Armenia has been a great joy for us all.  An immense task of rebuilding the Church has been laid on your shoulders.  I cannot but voice my great esteem for the remarkable pastoral results that have been achieved in such a short time, both in Armenia and abroad, for the Christian education of young people, for the training of new clergy, for building new churches and community centers, for charitable assistance to those in need, and for promoting Christian values in social and cultural life.  Thanks to your pastoral leadership, the glorious light of Christ shines again in Armenia and the saving words of the Gospel can be heard once more.”[cxxviii]

Benedict XVI praises the schismatic Karekin II by calling him “Holiness and the venerable Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians.”  He also praises the act of giving relics to schismatics; he also says that the schismatics have true martyrs, which is heresy.  Then he utters the following incredible heresy: “An immense task of rebuilding the Church has been laid on your shoulders.  I cannot but voice my great esteem for the remarkable pastoral results that have been achieved in such a short time, both in Armenia and abroad, for the Christian education of young people, for the training of new clergy, for building new churches …” Benedict XVI says the true Church of Christ has been laid on the shoulders of an open schismatic!  He then says that he has great esteem for the schismatics’ remarkable pastoral work and leadership!  These speeches demonstrate, once again, that Benedict XVI is a total schismatic.

Benedict XVI promotes esteem for Buddhist monasteries and the contribution they make to people

Benedict XVI, May 16, 2008, Address to Bishops of Thailand: “In your Country this mission of the small Catholic community is undertaken within the context of relationships, most especially with Buddhists.  In fact, you have readily expressed to me your great respect for the Buddhist monasteries and the esteem you have for the contribution they make to the social and cultural life of the Thai people… yourselves and other religious leaders in your Country, in fact point to the importance of interreligious cooperation.  They call for a concerted effort to uphold the spiritual and moral soul of your people.  In concordance [harmony] with Buddhists, you can promote mutual understanding concerning the transmission of traditions to succeeding generations, the articulation of ethical values discernable to reason, reverence for the transcendent, prayer and contemplation.  Such practices and dispositions serve the common well-being of society and nurture the essence of every human being.”[cxxix]

First, he speaks approvingly of the bishops’ “great respect for the Buddhist monasteries” and “the esteem you have for the contribution they [Buddhist monasteries] make to the social and cultural life of the Thai people.”  This is a major heresy!  Second, Benedict XVI promotes harmony with the Buddhists in transmitting to succeeding generations ethical values, reverence for the transcendent, prayer, and contemplation!  This is major heresy.  Then he says that if Catholics and Buddhists do this in harmony “such practices and dispositions serve the common well-being of society and nurture the essence of every human being.”  This is heresy.  He totally promotes the false religion of Buddhism, a false religion which sends people to eternal damnation.  This is an outrageously heretical address from the apostate Benedict XVI.
